Sydney Opera House

I seem to have Sydney on my mind tonight, I think it is the horrible rainy windy weather that we are having here at the start of June in the UK! I haven’t done that much night photography, but had a play with a Gorillapod tripod and my DSLR recently in Sydney by the harbour. I didn’t want to have to lug around a ‘proper’ tripod at the time, so this turned out to be the ideal companion for this occasion. Despite the fear of my beloved Canon falling into the harbour when I had the Gorillapod wrapped around a railing, I managed to get a few shots I was quite pleased with, including these ones.

I simply love the Opera House, so many people do, it is one of those sights that is hard to get bored of, as is the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Harbour in general. It’s been photographed to death, but there’s nothing like being there & taking your very own shots. Fantastic place!
