Howth, Dublin

Finally, after 3 weeks working in Dublin, I had the opportunity last weekend to jump on a train with my camera, and with luck it was a beautiful sunny day.

Several people had recommended Howth as an easy little day trip, 25 minutes or so north of Dublin on the Dart train from Connolly Station, it was indeed an easy, and inexpensive outing.

I won’t attempt to rewrite the Howth tourist guide (plenty of capable people have already seen to that!), but here is a small photo guide of my day, and my first impressions of this little fishing community.

My only regret is that I didn’t do one of the boat trips out to the small island known as ‘Ireland’s Eye’, the sea was calm, conditions were good. Never mind, maybe some other time!
